Headstock
This is a term to demonstrate the part of guitar which is attached to the neck of the guitar. It is a wider patch which is connected to the slimmer neck. On the headstock we will see the tuners. They are the parts which we use to adjust the pitch of the strings. Each tuner represents each string separately.
Nut
It is located at the point which we see the headstock connected to the neck of the instrument. A nut is a small piece of plastic or bone which has small grooves in. The grooves are carved out to guide the strings up to the tuners.
Neck of the guitar
This is an area that you will need to concentrate on. This is where you put your fingers on. The surface of the neck will allow you to create different music notes by pressing on it and strike the guitar strings.
Body
The body of the guitar is different depending on the type of the instrument you are using. Electric guitar will have solid body while the acoustic ones will have hollow body. The hollow body will have sound hole on it. The sound hole is designed to project the sound of the instrument out. For the solid body, we will see pick-ups instead. It is the part with small microphones. It will allow the capture the sound of the ringing strings. The sound then later is amplified by amplifier.
Strings
The strings are connected from the tuning pegs to the anchored at a piece of hardware called bridge. The bridge is located at the body of the guitar. The strings then run from the tuning pegs and then go over the nut and go through the neck and run over the body and pass through the sound hole or pick-ups and finally end at the bridge.
